YVONNE ECHOLS HOLLINS, BOARD SECRETARY

Mrs. Yvonne Echols Hollins is the daughter of Ora Echols and the late LeRoy Echols. She is the fourth of eight children. Yvonne was born and raised in Sibletown and the Howard Day Projects of Harrisburg, PA. She is the blessed, happy wife of John W. Hollins, and the mother of Nikole Hollins and stepmother of John and Darren Hollins. She is an active member of The Trinity Church of God.

She attended the Harrisburg Schools, and graduated from the former John Harris High School in 1968. Mrs. Hollins has served the Harrisburg School District (1972-1994) and community as a teacher, federal programs coordinator, assistant principal, and principal. During her tenure with the Central Dauphin School District (1994-2004), she served as an assistant principal, Director of Secondary Education and Assistant Superintendent-Secondary Instruction. Mrs. Hollins retired recently as Executive Director and currently serves as Board Secretary of The Boys & Girls Club of Harrisburg.
